Welcome to Elizabeth’s Corner – A Food & Lifestyle Blog
Hey there! You’ve landed on my little slice of the internet, a space I’ve lovingly crafted to share my passions and adventures.
Welcome to my world, where you’ll discover a treasure trove of content – from wholesome recipes to indulgent treats, from refreshing drinks to cozy comfort foods. Here, we strive to eat with the seasons and make the most of local ingredients. We savor every bite.
My love affair with food is intense and all-encompassing. Bacon brings a smile to my face, and chocolate makes me want to shout with joy. Vegetables and I had a rocky start – I grew up despising them. But thanks to the internet, I’ve learned to appreciate greens like kale and Brussels sprouts. Now, I even enjoy them.
My mom is still in disbelief, yes.
And I have an embarrassing amount of cheese in my cheese drawer. True story.
Cooking is my true passion because, let’s face it: I hate following instructions. I was raised in the digital age, easily bored, and always doing things my way. This is great for an entrepreneur but not so much for everyday interactions.
About Me
I am completely self-taught/mom-taught/grandma-taught with no formal culinary training, just a lot of trial and error in the kitchen. I test most of my recipes at least once but don’t claim to be a culinary genius. Except for that one time when I was three months pregnant and thought mac and cheese crostini was a good idea. Spoiler: it wasn’t.
You can also catch some daily musings on my life in crumbs. Tuesday Things, weekend posts, travel stories, favorites, and lifestyle ramblings live there – a place where I blog like it’s 2008, with photos of my spoon deep in a peanut butter jar. Sometimes, I share pictures of my messy kitchen or talk about my TV habits. It all balances out. I hope?
In my spare time, I love reading, writing fiction, practicing yoga, and enjoying margaritas. Obviously.
Contact Me
If you feel like reaching out, I’d love to hear from you. You can email me at [email protected]. If you have a specific question, please check the FAQs first. I try really hard to respond to every email and comment, but some inevitably slip through the cracks. Your best chance of getting a response is by leaving a comment on a recent post or asking a question on Facebook. If you have a specific question about a recipe, please comment on the post or ask on Facebook first (even tweet me) – both are open forums and others often have the same inquiry.
